What is Stretch Hood?
Stretch Hood is an automatic hooding system that applies a stretch tubular hood over the palletized load. The machine forms the hood, opens it, stretches it and applies it from the top so the film wraps the pallet with even tension, delivering protection, stability and a clean finish.
How the machine works
- 1 Hood forming: the system prepares the exact length of tubular film according to the load height and dimensions.
- 2 Hood cutting: the machine accurately separates the film length required for each hooding cycle.
- 3 Opening and stretching: the hood is mechanically opened and stretched to match the pallet format.
- 4 Top application: the machine lowers the hood over the load from above with precise motion control.
- 5 Final adjustment: the film recovers tension, grips the unit load and leaves the pallet protected, stable and easy to read from the outside.

Can it be integrated into an existing automatic line?
Yes. It is usually studied as part of the end-of-line project so it can be integrated with transport, strapping, palletizing and dispatch systems already present in the plant.
