Stretch Hood line installed by Robotec Packing

Robotec Packing has completed the installation of a new Stretch Hood packaging line for the automatic hooding of ceramic pallets for a leading client in the province of Castellon. With this project, the company strengthens its specialization in end-of-line solutions aimed at sectors with demanding requirements for protection, stability and productivity.

A solution focused on protection and stability

The line has been designed to meet the needs of a demanding product such as palletized ceramics, where transport safety, protection against external agents and pallet presentation are key factors. Stretch Hood technology applies tubular film that adapts precisely to the contour of the load, achieving firm and even containment.

This system protects the pallet against dust, moisture and other environmental conditions while also improving overall stability during handling and dispatch. For manufacturers working with delicate or high-value products, this combination of protection and final presentation provides a clear advantage at the end of the line.

Energy efficiency and plastic savings

One of the most remarkable aspects of this installation is its energy efficiency. Unlike other systems that require heat to shrink the film, Stretch Hood technology operates without thermal input, making it possible to reduce the line’s energy consumption and simplify the installation from both an operational and maintenance perspective.

In addition, the system optimizes material usage thanks to precise film application adjusted to the real dimensions of the load. This results in significant plastic savings compared with other packaging processes, helping reduce unnecessary consumption without compromising pallet stability or protection.

Better performance at the end of the line

The new line also helps streamline pallet output and improve continuity across the production process. Its integration into the end of the line automates a critical packaging stage while maintaining consistent performance and uniform quality in every dispatched unit.

For a ceramic client with high production volumes, this type of solution means not only better protection and presentation, but also an effective way to optimize resources and strengthen shipping reliability. The result is a more efficient, cleaner line that is better prepared to meet market demands.
