Robotec Packing has added to its range a new semi-automatic wrapper designed for large-format and high-weight loads that require stable containment and precise end-of-line control. The system incorporates weighing control into the wrapping cycle itself, allowing packaging and verification to be handled within a single process.

Combining wrapping and weighing improves line flow and reduces manual checks between stages. This is especially useful in plants where traceability, weight validation and pallet presentation must be managed without slowing overall throughput.

The wrapper has been developed for industrial lines that need reliability, configuration flexibility and consistent performance during continuous production shifts. Its design allows it to adapt to different load formats and installation requirements while maintaining precise control of the wrapping cycle and straightforward operation for plant personnel.
Among its main technical features, this wrapper can be configured with a turntable from 1,600 mm to 2,500 mm, work with maximum load heights of up to 2,500 mm, and reach a production capacity of 60 pallets/hour. It also handles loads of up to 4,000 kg, offers adjustable wrapping programs depending on the product type, includes speed control for turntable rotation and carriage lift to optimize film application, and supports multiple pallet dimensions thanks to an industrial construction designed for intensive use.
It can also incorporate options such as load-cell integration for automatic weighing, pit installation or floor-level installation with access ramp, making it easier to adapt the machine to each specific end-of-line layout.
Efficiency and savings at the end of the line
Another key advantage of this semi-automatic wrapper is its ability to optimize film consumption without compromising load stability. Thanks to its pre-stretch system of up to 300%, the machine makes better use of every meter of film and achieves a more efficient and uniform application around the pallet. This helps reduce unnecessary material consumption, improve packaging consistency and keep operating costs under tighter control in lines where productivity and consumable savings have a direct impact on profitability.
